Designed to heat or cool small to medium sized applications, the new R410A M Series range provides a versatile, yet affordable air conditioning solution. Quick to install and also one of the quietest units on the market (as low as 19dBA*¹), this newly designed, attractive range offers the perfect way to ensure a comfortable environment with the minimum of disruption.
Available as a premium inverter option or as a standard 'Classic' version, the latter offers a high specification system using traditional fixed speed technology, whilst providing extremely good value for money, costing approximately 30% less than the inverter equivalent.
Surprisingly affordable, the efficiency of the M Series range presents substantial savings in heating mode, when compared with more conventional heating systems. Additional features such as ‘Econo-Cool’ allow airflow to be precisely directed towards users, allowing set temperatures to be raised by 2ºC with no loss in comfort and a 20% gain in energy efficiency.
Flexible enough to suit a range of applications, the M Series includes models that will run up to eight indoor units per outdoor unit. With vastly increased pipe length and height differences over its R407c predecessors, the new M Series is extremely versatile, helping to make system application easier.
Highly efficient whilst ozone friendly too
The entire M Series range is now available using Inverter technology. By matching the compressor speed to the cooling or heating load of the room, up to a 30% reduction in power consumption can be achieved.
Increasingly aware of the importance of protecting the environment, the M Series range uses the (ozone friendly) refrigerant with zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) – R410A. Many models also make use of a new air filtering system containing the compound Catechin, which helps to improve air quality and prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses.

Upgrading existing R22 systems to efficient inverter models *¹
In general the upgrading of existing R22 systems to modern efficient R407c or R410A systems has been a difficult or expensive option. This is because the existing pipe work would either have to be replaced, or cleaned with dedicated specialist equipment. These actions were necessary as the chlorine residue from R22 system pipe work caused chemical reactions with the lubricating oils used in HFC compressors, the result being poor performance and system failure.
Mitsubishi Electric’s Replace Technology
The M Series Inverter range incorporates ‘Replace Technology’ to allow the upgrading of R22 systems using existing pipe work without the need to apply any special cleaning machines. This technology utilises the Mitsubishi Electric patented Hard Alkyl Benzene (HAB) oil, a unique oil that is more tolerant of contamination. By combining this oil with developments in oil separator technology it is possible for the inverter models to use existing pipe work without any special operations.
